-Tommy Traveler-

My mom from time to time uses the unpopular but often proper names of items. For instance, the toilet is the commode. Although this is not a common term, she would call a shaving kit/toiletries case a tommy traveler. Apparently, it's some sort of luggage from the 50's.

My mom also has what I call "momisms" which she still says to me even though I am 26 and married: buckle your seat belt, wash your hands(my dad gets that from her too), don't drive too fast, your not driving while on your cellphone are you?(while she is on hers in the car), eat some fruit, drink water, take your vitamins, excercise etc...( my brothers can add to it I'm sure)

I have a scrapbook that someone gave me as a wedding gift. I have maybe one page completed the way I would like to be. I put it away because I realized I am way to picky with how I want it to look to ever get it finished before I am at my 50th wedding anniversary. I have gotten the chance to travel in high school,college and Ryan and I try to travel somewhere new at least once a year. I hope to blog all the travels I have been on so a) I don't loose all my pictures b) I can share all the interesting places and experiences c) I won't have to complete my scrapbook.
